The Graduate Scheme “A” Training Program
The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) considers that the qualities required by a Professional Engineer can best be developed and attained by graduates who have thoroughly integrated their theoretical knowledge with the practical skills required to apply that knowledge. The purpose of the Scheme “A” Training is to provide registered graduate trainees with the opportunity to achieve this necessary reinforcement of theory with practice.

Job Vacancy:

Job Description:

  • Generate sales, identify business opportunities, and develop new accounts;
  • Maintain sustainable relationship with customers by providing support, information, and guidance
  • Meet with customers and orders follow up
  • Work closely with customer liaison, supply chain and finance teams to deliver quality service

Requirements:

  • Tertiary educated or above with 2 years sales experience, preferably in manufacturing / raw materials industry;
  • Outgoing, highly committed and hardworking with positive work attitude;
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • A good team player with strong presentation, interpersonal, communication and convincing skills;
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
  • Good computer literacy, including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Business travel to Southern China is required.

Job Description:

Job Description:

  • Assist the Sales Manager to lead and drive the Sales Team to achieve sales targets and business objectives;
  • Maintains and expands customer database. Identify potential new customers and maintain good sales and sustainable relationship with existing customers;
  • Maintain continuous business growth and team expansion;
  • Consolidating and prepare sales reports, sales forecasts, budgets and analysis reports;
  • Supervising a team of subordinates for daily operation;
  • Work closely with customer liaison, supply chain and finance teams to deliver quality service.

Requirements:

  • Diploma holder or above with minimum 3 years sales experience, preferably in manufacturing / raw materials industry;
  • Experience in sales management or team leading;
  • Strong leadership skill and excellent in interpersonal, analytical and organizing skills;
  • A strong sense of self-motivation, aggressiveness and responsibility;
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
  • Good computer literacy, including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
  • Business travel to Southern China is required.

Job Description:

  • Expand supplier base in both Asia and worldwide market, main focus in China in the first stage;
  • Evaluate new suppliers systematically;
  • Conduct periodic supplier audit;
  • Liaise with QA department to handle quality issues;
  • Liaise with sales to manage budget variations;
  • Understand the market needs and also create needs for the market.

Requirements:

  • A min. of 3 years of experience in sourcing is required;
  • Solid China trade experience;
  • Well understanding of the IE process and policies is preferable;
  • Background with metal material would be an advantage;
  • Proficient in English and Mandarin;
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated;
  • Good negotiation and assessment skills;
  • Willing to travel independently to visit potential suppliers both locally and oversea.

Job Description:

  • Lead procurement team in both Hong Kong and PRC office to oversee daily activities;
  • Department budget control and planning;
  • Develop procurement strategies to maximize cost savings and create synergies for the Company;
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality internal customer services;
  • Maintain interface with vendors and manufacturers to ensure that materials and requirements meet established standards and that applicable policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed;
  • Evaluate purchase requisitions for compliance to established business controls, including contract terms, risk assessment, pricing, supplier selection, and take appropriate actions to ensure the required level of business control are met; &
  • Ensure purchasing activities aligned to corporate compliance.

Requirements:

  • Degree or above in Purchasing, Supply Chain or business related disciplines;
  • Min. 5 years managerial experience in Procurement with sizable organization;
  • Solid experience in strategic planning and establishing the work procedures of the Department, and experience in ERP as well;
  • Relevant experience in handling raw materials is an absolute advantage (not a must);
  • Good leadership with business acumen analytical mindset, initiative and result oriented;
  • Have strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills;
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English & Chinese, including Mandarin;
  • Occasional travel to PRC will be required;
  • Immediate available is highly preferred.
